Warranty and Returns

Every part we sell is a used original (OEM) part that we checked before listing it. Here is how our returns and warranty work.

30-day returnsReturn a part within 30 days of receiving it.
60-day warrantyPart only. Starts the day you receive the part.
12-month warrantyOptional. Call us before you order to add it.

Returns (30 days)

You can return a part within 30 days from the day you receive it (or pick it up). Please contact us first with your order number, and we will tell you how to send it back.

The part must be in the same condition as when we shipped it.

Who pays return shipping

  • The part is defective, wrong, or not as described: we pay the return shipping.
  • You ordered the wrong part or changed your mind: you pay the return shipping, and a 20% restocking fee is taken from your refund.

We do not sell parts for testing. Please have the problem diagnosed before you order. If you install a part to see if it fixes the problem and it does not, the return counts as a change of mind: you pay the return shipping and the 20% restocking fee.

We send your refund after we receive and check the part.

Not sure a part fits? Please contact us before you order. We will check it for you.

60-day limited warranty

Our standard warranty is 60 days, part only. It starts the day you receive the part.

If the part is defective, contact us right away with your order number. We check the part and approve the claim before any work is done. Then we repair the part, replace it, or refund the part price (our choice). We pay return shipping for a defective part.

The warranty covers the original buyer only, and only while the part stays in the vehicle it was bought for. It cannot be transferred. A repair or replacement does not start a new warranty period.

Optional 12-month warranty

Covers a replacement part and its shipping for 12 months. Labor is not covered. To add it, call us at 916-743-8485 before you order.

What the warranty does not cover

  • Labor, removal or installation, towing, rental cars, lost time, or other costs.
  • Moving parts from your old part to ours, and seals, gaskets, fluids and similar supplies.
  • Damage from wrong installation or repairs, misuse, neglect, careless handling, overheating, or low oil or fluid.
  • A part that was removed from the vehicle it was first installed in.
  • Anything we excluded in writing when you bought the part.

Engines

Covered: the internal parts — engine block, cylinder head with valves, camshaft, connecting rods and bearings, pistons, piston rings, oil pump, crankshaft and bearings, rocker arms, valve lifters and other internal parts.

Not covered: external parts, such as the carburetor, fuel pump, water pump, all electrical parts, hoses, lines, intake and exhaust manifolds and fuel injection pumps, and calibration or adjustment of these parts. Also not covered: engine gaskets, oil and coolant leaks, and poor running caused by wrong installation.

Install it with new parts: oil and oil filter, timing belt, water pump, thermostat, tune-up parts and engine gaskets. If these new parts are not used, the warranty is void.

Transmissions

Covered: the transmission case and all internal parts, including the torque converter.

Not covered: mounts, shift linkage, flywheel and other external parts, fluid leaks, and shifting problems caused by wrong installation.

Install it with new parts: front and rear main seals, axle shaft seals, and the fluid the manufacturer recommends. Problems caused by not doing this are not covered, and the wrong fluid voids the warranty.

Any implied warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as this written warranty. Our total responsibility is to repair, replace or refund the part. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, such as towing, labor or lost time. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Any warranty claim must be sent to us in writing (for example, through our message form) during the warranty period.

These rules are for orders on our website, phone orders and local pickup. Orders on eBay follow the terms in the eBay listing. See also our Terms and Privacy Policy.
